Running for a Miracle: In Honor of my Uncle Donnie
Wednesday 2nd AprThis challenge is deeply personal. I’m dedicating it to my Uncle Donnie—the man I always looked up to. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at just 55, and I’ll never forget where I was when I got the call. I had just arrived in Atlanta for a Steelers game, full of excitement, when everything changed. Shock - Fear - Heartbreak. He was given six months to live—but Uncle Donnie, in true Donnie fashion, fought with grit, grace, and unshakable faith for two powerful years. He never wavered his faith in God, even when the pain set in, and the worst took over.
That strength, that peace—it's something I’ll carry with me forever. He inspired everyone who loved him—and that was a very long list. I will never know another man like him. This challenge is for him, with all my heart, soul, and love. I miss you every day, Uncle Donnie. This is your legacy in motion.
