Hello,I added my 14-year-old picture as it represents why I am joining the Bedford ICE Team. I am a childhood cancer survivor, so this organization has a special place in my heart. I won the major battle I fought against Leukemia but there are many residual effects chemotherapy and radiation present, even 20 plus years post remission. My bald head is covered by this fabulous wig as an attempt to hide the mental and physical issues going on underneath it. (and yes, I actually picked this out because it was cool)! I had a great support system but not everyone does. I hope this inspires you to take the time to donate to this great cause, helping many others currently undergoing treatments and those fighting the battles survivors continue to face.
