Several months ago, it was my privilege to be nominated and accepted to the Board of Directors for the Expect Miracles Foundation (“EMF”).  EMF is an organization with decades of history supporting initiatives in most noble world-wide fight against cancer, touching thousands of lives with our contributions.  State Street as a founding sponsor of EMF has a long record of supporting the cause, but I am making this appeal as I think we can always do more.  For me personally, and I sure for so many of us, cancer has touched my life and that of my loved ones in a profound way having lost a half dozen close relatives in the last 20 years.  My story is by no means any more unique, or tragic, than the millions of stories out there including I am sure many people in our own organization reading this note.  State Street is a pretty large place so imagine what we can all do together just by agreeing to donate a little of our time and resources to this cause that touches so many of us.
